Even more beautiful in person than the photos. Extremely good quality. I took one star away because I found it frustrating to stuff it.
Kiwisam –
5 five stars for the first one I received. Beautiful & the only smell was leather. In fact I was so impressed I ordered a second one & received it two days later. It is so heavily perfumed (jasmine maybe?) that I can smell it from two rooms away & I’m not crazy sensitive to smells. Its strong in the room & nauseating up close. I’m really hoping it will air out because they’re gorgeous. I haven’t stuffed them yet, so I can’t speak to that. I have stuffed other poufs & in my experience it takes way more stuffing than you ever think it will.
Amazon Customer –
Didn’t smell, stitching is already starting to come off, but affordable and looks nice
ShellemenoShellemeno –
I love this. Came in one day, which is lightning fast. It feels very sturdy/durable; much more so than expected. Per pother reviews, I used two queen sized comforters and a 24×24 insert pillow I had in my linen closet to stuff it, and I could probably add another small throw. It added to perfect touch to my ‘California eclectic’ living room. I am very pleased. And yes, there is a smell. It’s leathery and a little perfumy, but didn’t bother me at all.
Amazon Customer –
As pictured, because it isn’t already stuffed it is hard to get them completely full but overall good product!
GabyGaby –
After reading so many reviews and toggling back and forth on wether or not to purchase this pouf… I finally did and I LOVE it! It had a very faint smell but nothing horrendous as others have described. I am very happy with the quality… comparable to other more expensive poufs!
Meg FordMeg Ford –
I love this pouf for my living room. I looked at a lot of others before landing on this one. I actually really love that it’s not real leather, and it therefore doesn’t have a bad smell like the leather versions do. I also didn’t mind filling it, I used two extra euro sham pillows I had laying around.
Liane –
I bought two big bags of filler but I can probably stuff a third box in there and make this even more firm. It’s great as a meditation post, and looks fab in the living room. I was nervous about it smelling bad after reading the other reviews so I’m not sure if those other goats that were slain to make poofs had poor hygiene habits but mine just smelled like leather. Well made, sturdy seams with a durable zipper.
Karin YehKarin Yeh –
I grew up with real authentic Moroccan poufs in my home and wanted to get one for my new place and this one totally matches up to the quality! Looks very authentic and the color is beautiful! Would definitely recommend. Also – this price is SO fair. Every other home store or anywhere on Etsy is selling these at almost double the price. Very satisfied with my purchase!!
Alicia Dassa –
We love the look feel and quality of this footstool. Downside is the odor when it first arrived which we found lasted a couple days. I put it on the porch to air out and its been fine ever since. The color is perfect and the quality is fantastic. I would definitely recommend 2 5lb boxes of polyfill if you want a more firm feel.
Lkit711 –
I was so so so hopeful for this to work out as I really didn’t want to spend 3x this amount at West Elm. The reviews were so mixed with some saying the smell wore off or wasn’t that bad, and others saying it was totally unbearable. I am with the latter. As soon as I cut the tape from the Amazon box, my dining room was taken over by the stench of which I can only describe as DEATH. Even my dog freaked out when he smelled it – went straight back into his crate. It immediately went outside where I was hoping it would air out. Every time I walked to my car (four days), I was hit with the death smell outside. I boxed it back up and it’s being returned. Save for the better product at West Elm.
Lisa B. –
I’m not sure what material was used to make this but the smell just about knocked me over. It’s airing out on my porch right now so we’ll see.The styling is beautiful so I’m hoping it works out.
Lshaw –
This product looks exactly like the picture.Like other reviewers have said, it does have a strong odor….hard to discribe. I’m hoping that a few days of it airing out in the garage will help
Lee –
Very beautiful, however, the smell is hard to get over. I’ve tried to air it out for a few days in my basement and on my patio and it still had an odor.
Jonny & Evelyn CordovaJonny & Evelyn Cordova –
This leather pouf is beautiful, durable, yes a little smelly, but overall just what I hoped for. I didn’t want to spend more $$ on stuffing it so I used on old king comforter, folded old bed sheets, old puffer jacket (lol) old pillow cases, old baby towels.. etc. Holy cow (no pun intended) this pouf requires a lot of stuffing. I wanted it firm so it can be used as a seat too so I stuffed it as firm as I could with a ton of old linens I no longer use. Saved me money and it’s perfect! I’m sure the smell will dissipate over time. Just had to wipe it down because It gathered dust wherever it was stored. I’m really happy with this product.
AbqPhil –
They look and feel exactly like the ones you could buy in the markets over there. I think they are legit. Hard to stuff tight enough. We put tiny foam balls from hobby lobby in them. filled them tight, then had to restuff them a few days later after they settled some. Looks like we will have to do that again, but at some point, they should stay “full”
LaciLaci –
LOVE THIS! Yes, it’s unstuffed and you need to buy filling. What I did was use some of my old clothes and sweaters to stuff this ottoman. A little sentimental since it’s for my baby’s nursery. The quality of the material met and exceeded my expectations. SO happy with this pouf.
noushinator –
I got it for a friend but didn’t realize it’s not stuffed. It does say it in the description so make sure you know what you’re getting for the price. I would give them 5 stars but I didn’t like that I had to pay even more money for the stuffing making it very expensive.
Fredi –
Great deal , looks super nice but is a little small , expected it bigger . Easy to fill with old cloth, pillow ,cushions etc .
Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer –
Good quality, accurate color and real leather. A bit smaller than it looks in the photos but still nice. Even at this size requires a good bit to fill it. You can use blankets and pillows to stuff it.
Trevor Bullion –
I was under the impression from the picture that what I was going to be receiving was a leather covered pouf. I was disappointed when only the leather covers arrived. They were beautiful but I didn’t keep them because of having to go out and find a pouf that the covers would fit. They were well made and I would have loved having them if it had been the whole package
amazon customer –
I looked everywhere in local stores for a pouf of good price & neutral but interesting design to be used as a footrest. This was exactly the size & style I had in mind BUT I was very worried about the potential for malodor. To my relief, this pouf isn’t offensive to my nose. It smells like what you experience walking into a leather coat store or looking at purses at art fairs on a hot day. If that level of leather smell bothers you, you probably need to buy a non-leather pouf. This item has such nice coloration. I had some concern it would be too “blah” but it really enlivens beige décor without screaming “look at me”. The other reviewers’ photos are good depictions of what it looks like. I stuffed mine with a body pillow, a standard bed pillow, and a patio chair seat cushion I had laying around. It fills it out nicely but not solidly enough to sit on. ONE NOTE OF CAUTION — the zipper has nylon teeth but the pull is big and is metal so if you have wood floors or simply hate seeing the zipper pull hanging around, you’ll want to tape it under the zipper flap.
ClaudiaClaudia –
I’m still filling it. It is advertised to have this kind of outward stitching all throughout and it doesn’t. Only at the bottom as shown. I kind of liked that kind of outward stitching and purchased it because of that and because of the color advertised. The pictures show that it is more of a cognac with reddish hues than this brown one that I received. I wanted to get two but now not so sure if when I get another they will match. The seller did offer me a small partial refund. Since it’s not filled completely yet I can’t tell you how durable it will be over time.
AshAsh –
I thought this was great considering I needed a place to store extra blankets that I rarely use. This held a fluffy down comforter (I forgot to look before I stuffed it but it held at least a queen maybe even a king) and I also threw in a thin twin blanket.
Mr. Dad –
Just redid the living room and these made us a little more Hip. They look great and stuffing was easy. Looking forward to breaking them in and seeing the leather patina a bit. Plus they would make a great place to hide some valuables if you had that need
Alex –
Well it is very beautiful but didn’t realize it wouldn’t come not filled with a pour! I had to go purchase a king size comforter to fill it up.
Karina Vargas –
I purchased two and they were perfect. They are a great color and material is amazing for the price. They did not smell at all like some of the other reviews stated. I stuffed them with old square decorative pillows and they fit perfectly.
Holmes –
Very durable leather and stitching. Requires a lot of stuff to pack in it! BUT even after a few weeks of being in our living room, it still smells like poop.
Jessica Dahlquist –
Really well made and looks amazing in our living room. Stuffing was a pretty expensive additional cost and it was hard to stuff but great product overall.
Haley StarkHaley Stark –
Very well made, looks exactly like the pictures. It is pretty sturdy. Mine needs more fluff to look right, but overall I love this purchase. It says made of real leather, but im wondering if its made of something other than bovine leather…..goat maybe? It has a distinctively different leather smell. Its not an overpowering smell, but its just different from what im used to. Maybe its just the difference in how the leather is processed, idk.
Rahma –
I love it but the only thing I don’t like it is the smell of the leather but it’s normal real leather smells.
E. Scheible –
I got two of these for our living room. My husband is always complaining I have too many pillows and blankets, so I bought these poufs, and stuffed them full! Now I don’t have piles everywhere, I even stuffed a full size comforter in one! These are very sturdy, our 9 year old daughter launches herself across the room, and uses the pouf as a landing pad, seems like the seams are very sturdy. Hopefully will last many many years!
jake kenczka –
I liked this product. I do wish they were more consistent with their product. The first one I received is perfect. The other two I ordered don’t match either of them.
Franchesca Nguyen –
Very cute color. Seems pretty sturdy so far. You need a lot of stuffing to fill it up which is a lot of extra money on top of what you have to pay for. Smells really bad… I feel like I would have to aired out for a month or two before I can finally bring it indoors.
S. Watkins –
I’m so impressed! I ordered 2 and they are stunning! Have a really nice smell to them too that is slowly dissipating leaving them smelling neutral.Highly recommend!
Brenda J. WilcherBrenda J. Wilcher –
This Pouf really blends with my speaker cabinets and tv stand, and little chest I use as a coffee table. It adds a Moroccon flavor to a room that is already multi-national in style. I honestly could own 5 more of these cute little ottomans in other colors. It is totally worth buying unstuffed and getting out to the hobby/craft store for stuffing. Pretty reasonable, the bag cost only about $8 and took 3 bags. Love, love, love it! You will too.
Alexandra –
This is a beautiful pouf. It does take a decent amount to fill it but I had old blankets/sheets/pillows around so it wasn’t a big deal. It looks gorgeous and mine had no smell – maybe just the faint smell of leather. I would absolutely buy this again.
Norma LiliaNorma Lilia –
Very nice, stylish and sturdy. I didn’t read the label that stuffing was not included. I used old pillow that I had in the closet to fill mine up in the meantime. Other than that, beautiful Moroccan poof. 😍
Gigi –
We bought something similar to this when we travel to morocco 15 years ago. It’s had a tear in it and I wanted to replace it with a similar look. This product was perfect. In fact it’s superior to want to the one we actually bought when we were in morocco.
donny epp –
It takes a LOT of materials to fully stuff this thing! More than we expected. Not a fault of the product of course.
Treycee –
It’s smaller than a footstool, and doesn’t work to put your feet on. After getting it put up I feel I over paid by about $45. I wouldn’t buy again. I tried contacting the seller to request a refund and never heard back.
VMax –
This is beautiful. It appears to be real leather. I laugh when I read some other reviews saying there was a smell. Uh, yea, it’s LEATHER. I have been to the Middle East and this is exactly what their leather smells like. I do not find the smell to be off, but rather like the smell of leather. With that being said it is NOT a strong smell at all. No different than when you wear a leather coat.Even my husband was quite surprised at how much he likes it. It arrived In perfect condition and even after a couple months has held up fine. I stuffed a king size down comforter some old pillows and an old blanket in it
Vicki DowellVicki Dowell –
Jynx approved. Cat not included…lolComes as a shell and you need to fill it…I still need to add more filling. It’s made very well!! So happy with this purchase…all my friends love it…its comfortable too!!
LoriWLoriW –
Definitely stuff it with something heavy. I used a 100 yr old quilt, but I think old clothes, jeans, etc would work great!
Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer –
I was glad to have received what seems to be a genuine leather pouf (Amazon has burned me on that one before). It feels less orange in real life than these pictures convey. The inside is lined with a fabric and the entire thing is so incredibly smelly (not like a nice leather musk, which makes me suspicious). I left it outside for a day/night, which didn’t really help. Then sprayed the outside with vinegar/water, which slightly helped, but the most success was found by putting a TB of baking soda inside. The odor is almost totally gone.I stuffed it with carnival prize stuffed animal fluff, old pillows, an old mattress protector, and stiff packing paper.
Sheri –
The color was a little bit more orange than expected, but still works.
Candice –
This poof is beautiful. Great attention to detail. Fits great in my daughters boho room. Just be sure to buy this filling to stuff it.
Tea –
I think this is very nice looking and I do like it. Having said that I don’t know I will be keeping it. In the description they said real leather and it could last a lifetime. No, it bonded leather and very thin, it showed up with a bubble where it already separated from the fabric. But the absolute biggest problem is the smell! I read the comments about the smell being bad, but it has filled my whole house with a smell like a giant poop pile. My husband came home and thought it was something he stepped in and was looking everywhere. I came in and told him and he didn’t believe me, so I said smell the poof. He was disgusted! We have it airing out in our garage, because I just don’t know that I want to drive this in my car to stink then show up at the UPS store to have everyone think I messed my pants. I am sorry to be so graphic, but that is truly how bad this is. It was not cheap either, I feel like they should be paying to deodorize my home at this point because I still smell it!
PatrickPatrick –
Ordered this pouf, liked it okay so I “ordered it again” from the same company – same pouf, same everything – to have a matching set. Second one arrived and was different color, different size, and was much sturdier than the first one. Never know what you’re going to get.
Susan L. Shannon –
This pouf is a great value for the money. I found it to be of high quality and sturdiness. Rich, even coloring and nice leather smell. It did come unfilled and I purchased PolyFil to stuff it. It gave me exactly the look I was going for without paying a lot. I added a copper tray to use as a side table for a lamp in my bedroom. Fabulous!
Jon and LuzJon and Luz –
I love the pouf cover. It was my fault I didn’t read the description and thought it was the pouf already stuffed. However; I stuffed them with old blankets and pillows and they look great. My only complaint is that they are slightly different color and the zipper closures are different too. One has a flap that covers the zipper while the other one is exposed. They are nice enough to keep as I’m worried if I return I will get one that doesn’t match. Not bad for the price it feels expensive and mine didn’t have any smell to it. They included a small coin purse with instructions inside. Nice touch!
Hallie –
It’s the cover only. No filling. Very very small.
Lois Lane –
Exactly as described, light camel color sturdy and beautiful
matthew gustafson –
It’s beautiful and the color is perfect, just gotta get some stuffing for it!
PatPat –
This product is actually super cute and would make a great addition to any room. The quality is fantastic. The tan color is definitely a bit more orangey but that’s the vibe I needed. I used poly fil to stuff it but I needed over 10 lbs of polyfil and it is still not very firm. So I’m not too sure how other reviewers were able to get away with 3 lbs. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was because the smell of the goat leather was honestly awful. I kept the pouf outside for a week and the smell has definitely decreased but is still there and a little bothersome. Overall, if you can get past the smell I highly recommend!
MREPMREP –
We purchased two poofs for a conversation area. They look great! However, they both were shipped unstuffed and have really pronounced creases. No information was provided on how to “soften” the creases. We live in the high-desert and are very dry (15% or less in-home humidity). We used leather conditioner in a dabbing application…we did not rub. The blue poof responded poorly with blotchy stains. We tried to feather or softly lessen the stain…but it had become worse and the dye was removed. We are awaiting a response from the mfg. We recommend that you have a bit of patience and let the creases naturally relax…

I indulged in the purchase of a little something that sparked joy for me. I purchased it unstuffed and was able to upcycle the foam from my old mattress as filling for the pouf. It is beautifully made. Foot stool, seat, side table…it will have many uses. The leather smells amazing. They even sent this lovely little wallet as a gift with purchase. 100% recommend.

Beautiful as advertised.
Jana MurdaughJana Murdaugh –
Loved it but clasp on zipper broke first time I used it. As you can see in photo it wasn’t over stuffed either. Simply went to zip it together and it easily broke. Very disappointed as it was a gift:( had planned to buy more. Darn!
Amazon Customer –
This pouf is beautiful and great quality.
Wes A.Wes A. –
I found it hard to fill this in a way that keeps the top popped up in the middle, but being sortof flattened, it turns out it’s a comfortable little seat for my toddler and a great footrest for me. It’s holding up well despite everybody playing with it and sitting on it. The smell only lasted a couple days, so that was no big deal.
JennahJennah –
Can’t wait to use this in our nursery. There is a slight smell once it came out of the package but it should air out within a few days. I stuffed it with some old pillows and blankets and it looks great. I think I’m going to wipe down with a damp cloth to see if it becomes a little bit shinier.

I was searching for an ottoman to go with my recently purchased leather chair. I found the color of the chair difficult to match. I came across this ottoman and thought I would give it a try. It is almost an exact match! I used the 10lb poly stuffing recommended by another reviewer and am quite satisfied with the result. I now have a cozy corner where I practice my daily meditation.
LO –
Beautiful and well made. Unique. Loved it, but it wasn’t the right size for my room.
Trish –
I love how it looks. I don’t really use it for my feet. It’s a little too low for my comfort but then again maybe I didn’t fill it up all the way. I used spare blankets and pillows and pop them out when we have sleep overs! I’m happy with it.
Dalton LindstrandDalton Lindstrand –
I am very impressed with the leather quality, the stitching is beautiful with no snags and the zipper is very strong!!! I understood the price when I got it, not knowing it came unstuffed and it all made sense!! That’s my own fault for clearly not reading the description!! It was okay because I had some things laying around the house I could stuff it with!! All in all this is a great product and shipped very quickly!!
Collieran –
Good sturdy thick leather. Heavy duty zipper. Takes a lot more to stuff it full than I thought but love the look and much cheaper than the pre-stuffed ones you buy at furniture stores.
MeghanMeghan –
This ottoman is a great value. It is real leather and does smell like real leather typically does when you first open it up. The smell quickly dissipates after a few days. The stitching details on the ottoman are really nice and it is very sturdy. I stuffed mine with clean old blankets, tee shirts and old throw pillows. It’s nice to do this yourself so you can control the firmness of the ottoman. The color of the leather is a beautiful caramel brown. I’ve had mine 2 weeks and I can tell it is going to wear well. Highly recommend! It’s a terrific bargain for the price!
Janna V. –
It looks very nice. Not cheap. It did take a lot of filling. A lot.
NMN07 –
These poufs — this is my second one — are beautiful, and I can fit a lot of curtains/pillows/blankets in them for storage. It frees up whole bureau shelves for other things. Plus, of course, they are very comfortable for my feet and legs when reading, or watching TV.
Joey –
It’s made of great quality and I would recommend this to anyone.
Pannes –
It’s great quality and is very spacious. I’m storing comforters in it
John T Young Jr –
We love these and they look dynamite. The only problem is that stitches on one seam where 2 inches were not sewn through so that there is an opening that will cost a lot to fix.
OLL –
Some of the reviews mentioned a smell. There is a faint leather smell, but the info card that comes with it mentions that there may be a leather smell and didn’t find it a problem at all. I love the color and comfort of this pouf.
Elijah G.Elijah G. –
I love the idea of this but it is not what I wanted or thought it would be. First, I should’ve read that it came unstuffed. I almost thought it was a purse when it arrived as an empty sack of leather. Second, it’s difficult to stuff to make it full on all sides and was not comfortable. Unless you have a massive fluffy comforter or two to stuff it with, it will look and feel lumpy. We used 3 blankets and that was the case. Lastly, too short and barely big enough for one person’s feet to rest on it. Definitely not big enough for two. Has a large zipper on the bottom which will scrape on hardwood floors when you slide it. Will be returning this.
Northwest GalNorthwest Gal –
We bought these and had an upholstery shop professionally stuff them with very firm foam. It only cost $60 each and the are sturdy, comfortable and very stylish. The quality of leather is better than expected
Tara WTara W –
Was hoping to purchase the same pouf I had already (on right in pic) but it was no longer available so I searched for the closest possible match I could find. This pouf fit the bill almost. Not crazy about the bright stitching on it, but only because of the contrast to my other pouf. It is nicely done & appears to be durable. The color of the leather is somewhat of a close match to my other one, just a little lighter. The quality of the leather seems good as well. This was an unfilled pouf so I put an old memory foam pillow on the top where you’d rest your feet, then filled the rest with old towels, blankets. My other pouf came filled with shredded memory foam so I may take an old mattress topper or any other old memory foam pillows & do that for this pouf. Overall happy with the purchase.
charchar –
I like them but they are just for show since they deflate so easily. I brought a bunch of filler from hobby Libby but it never was enough so i will be going back yet again. I rather paid a little more to have it included and get them exactly how they were supposed to be filled than trial and error
Seb_NYC –
Great quality leather
MODPIXEL –
My kids love these! We used old bed pillows to stuff them. Quality workmanship on these. Super cute and perfect for playing on, sitting on, or resting your feet.
B.C.B.C. –
I bought this to match my leather couches and it’s close enough but not as red as I hoped. Overall I love this ottoman and the zipper and seams appear strong and durable. It’s been an interesting puzzle to stuff this just right. But that’s user error and not the manufacturer’s fault!
Amazon Customer –
Amazing quality. So totally adorable!!
Kristopher ParkerKristopher Parker –
This poof is nice and study and the leather is so soft. I love the detail on top. Booth two and they are statement pieces in my family room.
ANNE R. –
The leather on this piece doesn’t scratch easily. It’s somewhat heavy because the leather is thick. Since it’s so heavy, we used foam peanuts to keep from adding any weight.
kevinator –
I had some couch pillow inserts that I used to stuff this – but the fabric is thick enough that I think some old blankets or anything else would have worked just as well. We use it to prop our feet on and it looks great in our living room. Quality stitching and fabric.
James Keaton –
I bought this to hide my kids stuffed animals while provided a cute seat or leg rest in their room. Works perfect. Fits so much, I was even able to stuff a small blanket and pillow in their. Helps make their room look more tidy and cute. Quality is ideal. Leather is solid while also soft.
Misty Bakke –
Some girl came over and smoked a joint, and dropped a hot ash on it, so now there’s a hole in it, which makes me sad. I think t might dye the leather, to match the color of the burn? I’m not sure, but I am upset about it, because I like it very much.
Smaller than expected. Should have payed closer attention to dimensions. Underwhelmed for the price adding cost of fillers. –
I like the look
Ines –
Made of good quality leather and is a nice accent for my room. I use it to hold my winter coats/blankets/summer clothing depending on the season.
Cardia –
Attractive but the seams are already split. My husband and I are elderly so it’s not like it’s been abused. We only rest our feet on them while sitting on the couch. I’ve only had these for two months and the seam has already split. I’d think twice before buying. I will not buy again. Hope this helps in your decision.
Lindsey –
It looks great, but smells like sour milk inside and out. Yuck.
Dale Johnson –
It would be nice if it was bigger. But it serves the purpose.
Ari U.Ari U. –
Very disappointing after I was looking forward to this item. Wanted leather instead of vinyl but it came packaged with two sides stuck together inseparable without ripping the leather off the pouf! On top it also had two scuff marks. Not getting a replacement, just returned it.
N. JobityN. Jobity –
I bought another one first that was not leather and it was cheap and low quality. This one is 10 levels up. So much better quality, and stuffing it was easier. And the after effect from stuffing was so much better This is a quality product and I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a pouf like this.

This is my first ottoman pouf cover. I had to buy the pouf ball to go in it.I love putting my feet up when I sit and this is the perfect thing for it.It is nice and comfortable. I’m enjoying it.
Melinda –
It took a lot more stuffing than I expected. I went to a thrift store to pick up some old pillows. There is still a lingering odor after a month, but I rubbed it with a bit of almond lotion made with cocoa butter that my friend made and it has helped.

It looks exactly like the photos and really is a work of art. I had read other reviews mentioning a smell, it has the slight smell of leather that was expected and frankly welcomed. It also came with a little gift inside that was a very pleasant surprise!

Filling this with old towels seemed like a great idea but I couldn’t get the nice round even shape I wanted. Finally used some batting quilters use with the towels to achieve the desired look. It was worth the effort. It’s a great looking stool.

I’ve been wanting one of these for a little while now and finally got one. Love the Moroccan aesthetic. I stuffed it with an old quilt and sheets that I was just going to throw away at some point. Worked fine. One thing though…the smell is really awful (thus the 4 stars instead of 5). I usually LOVE the smell of leather. In fact, I have a leather-based perfume by Diptique which is my is my favorite scent that I own. I have lots of leather jackets, etc. However, I think this may be goat skin leather, which I’m not used to at all. Perhaps it’s normal…but it’s reeeeeaaally strong and is actually making me nauseous. It’s currently sitting about 10 feet away from me and I can still smell it. I’m hoping it will go dissipate with a little time. We’ll see. Something to seriously consider before buying.
