There is little to no scent. The product which is packaged in a translucent white plastic bottle was a light yellow transparent oil. The product was well protected in a box with the large rectangular shaped bubble protective packing which was more than capable of protecting the product. I wanted to buy cocojojo’s argan oil his because its half the price of competing brands….bad decision.. i use argan oil as body and hair moisturizer due to sensitive skin and allergic reactions to most lotions and oils, i thought id switch brands of argan oil,, because cocojojo argan oil was way cheaper. ..cocojojo argan oil made my clothing, towles, and bedding smell like rancid oil over time. No matter how much i washed them,the rancid smell remains, i’ve used bleach, baking soda, stain remover, soaked them in vinegar for 2 day, even tried rubbing alcohol, and left them in the sun for a few days to air them out… the rancid smell still remains…I needed some kind of moisturizer, due to dey skin. I noticed ocojojos argan oil was causing hives and eczema …i found that by rinsing it off as best as i could leaving trace amounts of the oil on my skiing to be somewhat moisturizing, and with trace amounts i was having less issues with hives and eczema….but still caused skin issues, and made my laundry smell rancid. After buying cocojojojo’s 32 oz argan oil jug, 2 diff times, i can say I’m NOT buying from this company anymore . Once i went back to the expensive competing brands, companies Verdana argan oil , and Bellatera argan oil, both these brands of argan oil are worth the extra cost, they have NOT caused hives, eczema, they also don’t smell like canola oil, and they don’t make my my laundry smell like rancid oil,…,i’d rather pay other that extra money to buy argan oil from a different company than deal with cocojojo’s argan oil!

Great Oil, does not particularly smell,then I use it out of a smaller spray bottle with a couple drops of scented oil mixed in soit smell like scented oilsome people complained about being too thinI used it and it worked for me. Both skin and hair, it just kept me moisturized through out the winterwithout being greasy (you have to tailor the amount to your needs of course), and that’s the point,.it also kept my hair from drying after shampoos, now I don’t use conditioner.I took one star off because it is awkward to get the oil from the jug into the small spray bottle without making a messOne more thing: I found that using immediately after a shower on moist skin and hair was the most convenient, I used less oil and it was easy to get full coverage in less than a minute. You can expect results after 3 applications. hope this helps really a great product.UPDATE: I did not use it for a while, and my skin got worse, so it works, However after a year the oil, like any other oil, got rancid. So I understand where the guys complaining of a smell are coming from! it is almost gone, but hate to waste whatever is left!

It smells like kitchen oil. I read that others said this but thought, “big deal”! They weren’t kidding, it really smells strongly like you’ve been frying chicken. I’m going to add some peppermint oil that is supposed to help hair grow too cover the smell. Hopefully that does it, if not, it wasn’t worth the inexpensive cost.

I don’t find anything particularly wrong with the product itself. My only complaint and a major issue is that the container leaks. It’s super slow and not really noticeable if you don’t pay attention (I thought at first i just poured too fast and some spilled along the side but after completely cleaning it there was still a small pool under it at the end of the week) but it is really annoying and wasteful. Maybe I just got a dud or it got cracked in transit but I don’t think it is. Just proceed with caution.

To get started, it’s important to understand that you are buying pure argan oil. So obviously this stuff isn’t going to smell like flowers or really anything at all except oil. Now, that being said I would definitely recommend this product if you are looking to get pure argan oil for the best value. I put small amounts at a time into a pump bottle and when combined with leave in conditioner, it worked well on my curly wavy hair. I would start with a little bit and then see if you need more, and make sure to evenly distribute it on your hair. Overall though, argan oil works great on my hair, especially since I have wash it often.

I used lots of different products before to get my beard and hair just right, but now this is all I use. I don’t like the smell. I have used other beard oils with smaller amounts of argan oil in them to make is smell better and I have used cologne neither work all day. Basically the smell isn’t the best, but it has sort of grown on me, but the oil is excellent. I constantly get compliments on my beard, and in truth it does a great job of keeping my hair healthy. It is a little more flammable than just hair though. The other day my beard caught on fire and sort of soldered for a while until I put it out. The smell wasn’t the best, so just be careful if you work around furnaces or fires. You can’t beat it for the price and it only takes a small amount to get your whole beard or head. I haven’t put much of a dent in mine over months of use. Great for taming curly hair.

I would have given a 5 stars review but as you can see on the attached photo the cheap plastic cap was smashed during transit and thank goodness for the foil seal it didn’t leak into the bag it was transported in!! The product itself was great and I would definitely reorder but they have to improve the packaging to avoid product spills!! I lucked out on this order but some one else may not have been as lucky.The scent or the non presence of scent was actually not an issue because I had bought a glass dispenser (mason jar – also from Amazon ) purposely to be able to add essential oils of my choice in the jar( see 2nd photo).

Product finally arrived. Upon inspection, the shipping box was oil stained. Removing the bubble wrap I discovered that at least 8oz. of oil was pooled in the bag surrounding the container. For the price of this Argan Oil I am highly disappointed !!! This product cannot be used due to sanitation and safety.

Went with this item cause it’s basically half off compared to Cliganic but the moment I applied it to my hair I really realized a strong bad smell. After further looking into it I realized the oil was rancid.I’m sticking with cliganic argan oil, what’s the point of buying cheaper if the product does not work.Might be a quality control issue cause I’m not seeing other reviews saying it was rancid

I don’t know what this oil is, but I don’t think it’s argan. I’ve been using argan on my hair for years and it leaves my hair soft and shiny. This stuff stays on top of my hair, makes the hair follicles hard and brittle and my hair feel stiff and dry. My hair went back to normal the minute I went back to my old argan oil. Don’t buy this.
